Who are Sudbury Town Pastors

Sudbury Town Pastors are Christians from the various churches in Sudbury and the surrounding area.

As Christians, Sudbury Town Pastors care, help, show concern and assist people where appropriate.  Town Pastors are available to offer help to vulnerable people, help to defuse potentially dangerous situations, and work with other agencies to promote safety.

Working in pairs, wearing bright distinctive jackets and headgear, they are out on the streets of Sudbury from 9pm till the early hours.  They provide a positive influence in the town - backed by prayer.

From examples in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds we have teams patrolling on alternating Friday and Saturday nights, along with people who are in the town prayer base and also at home praying.

We are currently recruiting more people to enable us to do this work on Fridays and Saturdays of every week.  We are involving people from all the Christian denominations and churches in the area.
